Pain and Neurovascular Imaging

Thermal imaging is a non-invasive procedure which is useful in detecting the origin and extent of pain, both chronic and acute. Additionally, thermal imaging is used to monitor response to treatment, circulation and nerve entrapment.  Common indications include, but are not limited to:

Complex Pain Syndromes

Migraines

Fibromyalgia

Pain related to circulation

Injuries / Back & Neck Pain

Nerve root impingement

Inflammation

Undiagnosed Pain

Other imaging procedures such as x-ray, CAT, MRI are images of anatomical changes, thermal imaging measures heat patterns that result from injury and poor circulation.

Thermal imaging is painless and 100% safe as no ionizing radiation is used and there are no side effects. Thermal imaging can be used in conjunction with other imaging procedures if necessary.

Imaging can be in a region of interest such as the neck, or much larger areas, including the entire body.

Better assessment may lead to better treatment.  Not all pain related problems require thermal imaging, but when indicated, thermal imaging may provide valuable information leading to improved treatment and therefore outcome.

If you would like to discuss thermal imaging and its appropriateness in your situation, we encourage you to come in for a free consultation.
